Ever since its inception in 1971, the Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer
(ISHMT) has been acting as a nodal agency stimulating research by conducting
conferences to provide a platform for Indian researchers to interact. The National
Heat and Mass Transfer Conferences (HMTC), held biennially at various places in
India, are among the most important activities of the ISHMT.
The next in this series (21st National and 10th ISHMT-ASME Heat and Mass Transfer conference) is being held at INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY MADRAS, Chennai in December 2011.
